Mat-Based Classes

STOTT Pilates matwork strengthens, stretches, tones and streamlines the body. Improve core stability, posture, body alignment, balance and flexibility through a structured progression of mat exercises. Carefully leveled so that everyone from beginners to professional athletes can find a challenging workout, this effective mind-body exercise produces quick results, feels great and can help relieve back, shoulder and neck pain.


Small Equipment Mat Classes

Small equipment (Fitness Circle, Flexband, Foam Roller, Toning Balls, etc.) sessions are generally introduced at the Mat 3 level. The small equipment is integrated into existing matwork exercises to add variety and challenge to improve both strength and coordination in preparation for intermediate level exercises.


Machine-Based Classes

These classes incorporate STOTT Pilates equipment taking the mat exercises to a new level. All of our machine classes begin at a Level 2, therefore, all participants must have previous Pilates matwork training.


Reformer
build on your mat training by introducing the resistance based exercises of the Reformer. Using a sliding carriage, spring tension and pulleys, the Reformer gives a total body workout that ignites muscles you never knew you had! Work legs, arms and torso against resistance to increase your flexibility, coordination, strength and stability.
Wall Unit
modeled from the Pilates Cadillac machine, our STOTT Wall Units allow you to use the same spring-based resistance to challenge core abdominal muscles, work spinal articulation and flexibility and develop overall strength. Great for people with back, shoulder and hip issues, the Wall Unit will help you simultaneously release and strengthen.
Chair
Don't be fooled by it's simple design - the Stability Chair is one of the more challenging pieces of exercise equipment in the STOTT Equipment lineup! Using the spring resistance and a moveable split pedal, the Chair helps to rebalance muscles and provide a full body workout.
Circuit
These classes create exciting and challenging workouts that draw from the Mat and all available STOTT machines and small equipment. For those who like variety, you'll never do the same workout twice! You must have completed at least a Mat 3 level and Reformer 2 to benefit from these classes.

Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR) Classes

YBR uses specially designed 6-9inch balls to release tight muscles promoting increased flexibility, freedom of movement and relief from pain. Designed to teach you how to "roll out" your own body, these classes are an excellent complement to STOTT Pilates strength work. YBR re-educates your muscles and restores their true length, increases your range of motion at the joints, gently stimulates your bones and works to decode negative holding patterns (faulty posture) that cause pain injury and restrictions. Leave your session both energized and deeply relaxed.
